This season's release sees Prima bringing out more products that can be used in your everyday scrapbooking that you might not 'normally' use. Such as their new water colour pencils.
I have to say for me, it's a bit of a new thing. I've always wanted to be an artist. Like a for real artist that paints with paint. Ya know. Sure I'm creative, but as a child I wanted to be able to paint paintings (which my sister is very good at!).
Anyway, it meant when I saw Prima's new pencils, I thought I would never use them. I mean how? Right? But at CHA I was given the opportunity to take a couple of packs away with me and I was dead keen to give them a shot, so when Prima asked for a few of us to create something using them, I jumped at the opportunity.
Because I'm still learning myself, I decided to just use one colour as a contrast on a tag. I was using a ton of beautiful gold, and know how well red goes with gold, so used the red pencil (number 25) to create the following tag.
It was a pretty simple process which even I could do! Grin.
If you'd like to find out more on how this look can be achieved simply and easily, just click on over to the Prima blog where my full instructions are on how to make this tag...
As an aside, the pencils come in 6 different colour packs so you can get a full range of colours from skin/face tones, right through to bright and bolds. Ask at your local scrapbook shop to see when they'll be getting them in!
oh love it..how fun
