Well, this time last week I was getting ready to take part in some last final classes with Limor. They were put together at the last minute and were aimed at showing people what they could do with sprays & stamps, basically a quick induction into mixed media. I loved it. Learnt lots and am so pleased Limor and I could work together on these mini classes.
The ladies loved it too. For $25 you got to take away a bottle of spray and the tags you made, and there were 3-4 in 45mins! A great answer for learning quickly.
It was lovely to hang out with Limor. A real treat as we did some tourist things before SENZ and then shared a wall during SENZ so had a bit of fun banter between the classes. Grin.
The rest of SENZ went in a whirl for me. I set up mostly on Thursday evening, then popped in early on Friday morning and had help from Trina and Liz to set up the remainder (thank you so much ladies!!!). It was full on from there. 6 Prima classes over the Friday and Sat. We had so much fun!
I had a wonderful room to work in. Big, warm (sometimes too warm, sometimes too cold!), with storage behind those big curtains.
In each class we had two tables set up (sometimes three) just for all the techniques we worked on. Painting, stencils, texture paste, die cutting, punching. So many opportunities to learn new things.
This year the class rooms were open, so people wandering past could see what was going on. At first I was a little intimidated by this, but think it was a wonderful way for people to see what was going on as they meandered between classes.
My 3in1 class was once again a huge success. I had full classes for both sessions I taught it. And boy did everyone work hard! It was always a hard ask with these particular layouts to get them all done, but it was fabulous to have so many things to do to get them finished and try something new out.
And yep, there was lots of my work on display, both in the classroom, around the walls and downstairs in the Create Booth.
I have been tragic at taking group shots of classes lately, but did get this fabulous one over the weekend.
And as for SENZ shopping..... what can I say?
These two shots show SENZ as you come down the escalator from the Cake display / cafe area.
So many amazing shops for everyone to drool over.....
Liz - Artfull Crafts
Jodi - Scrapaholics
Lowri (and her washi wall) - Papervine
Jo - Imagine If
Tanya Leigh designs had a stall as part of the Scrapaholics booth. Well worth a look at! Beautiful items.
And of course the Create booth as manned by Suz!
Of course there were so many more amazing wonderful stalls than this and the cake area had a huge impact on SENZ this year. Lots of amazing stalls and cakes. Some of them defying gravity!
Would love to hear what you thought about the event - being at a new venue was a little bit new to all of us, and there were a few teething problems, like the lighting, but the feedback from people in my classes was that they loved it.
And as always I did too. Was wonderful to meet up with friends old and new.
Thanks to those who took my classes. I couldn't do it without you and I appreciate the faith you put in me when you choose one of my classes! Thank you.
Trina.
PS: here is the link to the recipe for the fabulous Oaty Ginger Crunch you all got in class.

Hi Trina
I only managed to go for one day this year and sadly no time for classes but I felt the new venue was smaller and it was hard to see/ participate in the make n takes. The cakes decorating was great but it brought extra people which made it rather squashed and hard to look at everything in the shops at time. Sounds like your classes were great as usual.Karen
