The kids and I have decided to spend some time in the last week of the holidays doing some charity work. We're not sure what yet (open to suggestions!!!), but want to do something that involves time rather than money. When I was telling the kids about my idea, I thought it would make a great Sunday Shake up, and so it's here.
My challenge to you this week is to spend some time helping someone else.
Dare ya.
Baking to take to a children's ward at the local hospital. Visit an old folks home and entertain the residents.

Visiting a local old folks ward or home and reading to the people. So many don't have young people to visit them. Ring first and maybe take a dog for a walk in allowed. Smiles all round!!!

You are such a good Mum Trina, I like the idea of helping at an animal shelter too, or is there a Forest and Bird organisation close by?
Today I am off to visit another hospice patient who I will be creating a Life Review book for, very rewarding.
Have a fun week McClune family.

visit old folks home, spend time with children (with disability and need kids their age to talk, play, share their frustrations) a problem shared is a problem halved, spca, planting trees for the eco system, picking up rubbish in a group (like keep rotorua beautiful) - scouts always do this. help out in the public library - putting away books, making cups of tea, or reading to people who are unable to. There are always plenty to do. Take up knitting and knit knee rugs for the elderly at the hospital or rest homes. Prem babies always need something at the hospital when born. I'm taking this up. and wanting to learn to crochet. Hope this all helps
