....and boy are they ugly!
Just check out those long necks and half feathered bodies. We've got Bomb a black leghorn down the back (he's black), Summer a blue leghorn, Flame and Caramel.
Although, still very cute!
Copying their Mum in having a 'dirt' bath and looking for bugs to eat.
Here is Piney (I *think* a little girl) a golden campine and below her an araucana.
Here are 'most' of Tiny's chicks. That's Piney on the left, an araucana, Campie, and another araucana. Can you see the difference between Piney and Campie? Campie has a much larger reder comb and you can also see some wattles developing (makes him a he). Thus my thoughts on who is a girl and boy. The kids named them Piney and Campie as they are campines - get it camp(ie) pine(y). LOL.
And a close up of my favourite chick this time around.... Caramel.
Again, note the 'geekiness' of her? A few feathers, a few bits of fluff. A long neck. Long legs. All gangly, just like a teenager.
And we've got another two chooks who have gone broody, so I've ordered some more eggs. I can't wait to get them. We'll have some blue orpingtons and silver laced wyandottes (to replace Adah).
I'm a lucky lady!
These pictures are super adorable, Trina- thanks so much for sharing!! :D
