She sounds very much like my Miss 8 :)


Andy is wise indeed. Your point was valid too, but you were never gonna get away with her being happy with it at the last minute. However I do have problems with teaching kids it is ok to succumb to 'peer pressure' and just do things cos 'everyone else' is doing it. Especially as you say, she is only 8.

Oh wise indeed, that man. Our children are now 35, 41,44 and they tell me one of the best lessons they learned from us was "don't be afraid to change your mind and say parents do not always get it right the first time" I think that I learn me most important lessons from the lovely children,(now adults) that we had!!! Be gentle on yourself...


What a wise man :-)
It's not just girls, either. My Tyler is quite conscious of his looks and wanting to make sure he "looks good".
