lol you are so lucky he doesn't eat your chickens! My basil would love to "play" at your place ;-)

Just as well really or those little chicks would be fair game. LOL He's probably well and truly earnt his place in the sun.

Trina my cat is six and she brings in lizards and field mice (in Spring lol) and catches the odd bird or three, but she doesn't touch the chickens. She'll even drink out of their water bowl while they are...I wonder how they know not to take on the chickens??

from Georgie..."Toast i like that fact that you sleep a lot....one day i hope to do this too. As for your hunting days being over...enjoy it...those humans just bring the food to you....that;s the life i say....you look like a great cat...and someone who picked the best family!!! enjoy relaxing in your kingdom!!!"

Haha! Lovely photo! We kept 2 chooks last year, and our ginger cat 'Sparkle' (not unlike Toast to look at) was desperate to befriend them. One sunny winters day I had the french doors in the lounge open. I came downstairs to find the 2 chooks and the cat sprawled out on the carpet in the sun - dozing happily together!!! Alas, I was too slow for a photo opportunity, and must admit I was initially more concerned about the chooks pooping on the carpet!! Having chooks made me realise that they are actually surprisingly intelligent creatures (cunning and bossy to boot!).

Merry Christmas Trina!
