Lisa Cavanagh

Hmmm... Ive been using a new android app on my phone for tracking food without dieting... it's called Noom... and I LOVE it... also does exercise tracking and stuff. Have lost 6 kilos since the holidays without even trying!

you and me both!! (putting weight back on !!)
i blame all the ads on tv!!!
cute packaging
sugar tastiness!!!
too many 'eating' events!!

Healthy Food Guide is also fantastic, and if you don't buy/subscribe to the mag, there are 1000's of recipes online (www.healthyfood.co.nz). You can easily find recipes to make use of the ingredients you have on hand by entering stuff into the little search boxes. Eg. "chicken" as your main ingredient, then narrow down to salad/main/casserole etc, and you can narrow it down even more by recipe type (family fave, 5pm panic, low cost, ready in 20 min, etc). And best of all, the nutritional info is all there, so you can stay on track. I use it all the time!

Don't discount easy/cheat dinners like frozen fish fillets, canned soup with extra veges on the side, wraps/fajitas/burritos with lots of salad stuff (kids can even assemble their own). I find planning my meals ahead of time helps a lot, too. And using the crockpot is great, as you often have a bit more energy/time in the morning to whip something up, and when 5pm rolls around, you know it is all sorted.

Can be hard sometimes though ... I think most of us wish for a personal chef some days!!!

I am right there with ya! Hang on in there you will get there again :-)

I find the texture of food can put me off, rather than actual taste...I always thought I was a bit weird - LOL - ok, I admit it, I actually am!
