I've used my two fav manufacturers in this LO.
Prima for the gorgeous papers and stamps. And Dusty Attic for that stunning tree.
The title is hand cut.
I've added Kindy Glitz to the tree to give it a bit of a sparkle.
I've used Prima stamps to create this cluster.
I just felt I needed to revist some baby photos. LOL. Daniel at 5 weeks old. Sigh.

I'm really enjoying scrapping at the moment. When I take the 'thinking' out of it and just create for the sake of it.

My littlies get quite scared when watching movies, or some telly (if they haven't seen it before), and even though I record only the programmes I want them to watch - things like Mickey mouse clubhouse, Handy Manny, Jungle Junction etc they sometimes find it a little scary, and this is where I find them. Hiding behind the kitchen door, often behind each other. Too cute. I hope they stay this innocent for some time to come!

Ok, so I was asked a few times at AE if I'd be teaching at SENZ and truely at that time I wasn't sure. But I can safely say that yes, I will be.
I'll be teaching a few classes, so make sure you log onto the SENZ site check out all the details, then when the classes go up, book in! Don't forget that SENZ is in CH/CH this year, so a great opportunity for us Aucklanders to head down that way (especially with some of the airfares going around! $29 each way! Bonus!

Ok, and my latest LO follows. Its pretty different from my 'norm', but hey, we all like to branch out sometimes. I've still used lots of delightful Prima, some Paper Trunk stickers, and of course you'll see the glimmermist.....
Those great big flowers were made by stamping the Prima stamp with versamark ink to get a watermark, then as I sprayed the glimmermist, it really took to the stamped image. I'm pretty stoked with the way it turned out.
I then stitched around the petals and leaves and across the leaves (or grass) at the bottom.
The journaling was stamped around the flowers petals using black Stazon.

PS: Oh, I have some other news, but I might leave that for a little while. Nothing to worry about, but something in the pipeline for myself and could be fun for you. Hmmmm, cryptic? Maybe! I love to keep you guessing.

Time for this weeks challenge to shake up your life.
And its pretty easy. Well, maybe. Over the next few days (or you may already know) take a look around the people in your school life (or if you don't have kids, your day to day life), and see who might be struggling a little bit. Get chatting to them and offer to take their kids for the afternoon. Giving them some much needed down time.
Make it easy for them. Pick them up, drop them off, maybe even give them dinner?
I know that we're really busy in life, but if you already have kids, then adding a couple more isn't too hard, in fact can make life easier as your kids then have a playdate.
So give it a go. See if you can make someone elses life just that little bit easier for that little bit of time.

I created this LO at AE using Prima papers, lace, a brad and flowers, plus a heap of other little bits and bobs to tie it all together. I made the LO while away, but needed to come home to do the journaling and title.

If you read my blog regularly you'll remember how I made a mini album for a friend who was dying from cancer. I don't think I ever showed the full album. So while I'm still undecided as to what to do with it now, I thought I'd show it and see what you think.
I left the cover blank so we could add a title/wording later.
What it looks like from the side, standing up.
The first two pages. One for a photo and the opposite side to do some journaling.
Pages 3&4 - more space for journaling and a photo.
Pages 5&6 - another photo and a space for writing.
Pages 7&8 - a wee envelope for notes from friends, plus more journaling.
Pages 9&10 - pages for memories to be recorded.
More journaling and another photo.
Pages 13&14 - bits and pieces she might like to leave as advice.
Pages 15&16 - an envelope on this and the following page to put a note to her boys.

As you can see its very personal. There is a lot of room for journaling from Kirsty to her boys. So as they grow up they have an idea of their Mum. Unfortunately as you might remember, I wasn't able to get it to her before she passed on. And since then I've had it sitting here wondering if it is worth giving to her family or not. Parts of me say yes, that her husband, and mother and close friends can fill in the gaps. Part of me thinks, maybe it would remind them of how she passed so quickly and it will hurt too much. That I should redo some parts, make it for myself and fill it in just in case.
Would love to hear your thoughts.
Oh, and yes, that's more lovely Prima products on the album. I've basically used all scraps from my huge pile. But also some of their awesome 'build a book' acrylic pages as the base for some of my pages. Gosh I love Prima. But you knew that aye?! LOL.

Autumn Escape has come and gone. Just like that. Was another AWESOME weekend. The delightful Kelly Goree was over from the States and Basic Grey. I took one of her classes and loved it. Was amazing to get 3 double LO's done in 1 2 hour class. Will put photos up in the next few days.
Plus of course got to catch up with so many people. Gosh it was good. And the extra day was magic. I sure hope to go along next year. Thanks Nic and Lucy.
As part of the festivities, we were challenged to do 4 make n takes and create a mini album with them. Kelly then chose the top 10 albums and a winner was drawn to win a CRICKET! OMG! From SBO. I thought that was too good a prize to miss out on so decided to enter. Although my make n takes were totally different to the actual ones. I've now got a delightful album of Sarah and her toys.

This is the front cover. Paper was included for this, but otherwise, my own design. I used Prima paper, bling and flowers. Jenni Bowlin butterfly, 7 gypsies key, random velvet and a couple of other bits and bobs.
Page 1 was Prima product provided at the make n take. I created my own page.
Page 2 was Tim Holtz and again I created my own page.
Page 3 was Paper Trunk. I created my own version of the page using the product supplied.
Page 4 was Core-dinations. Yummo cardstock. Used product supplied to create my own page.
Pages 5 & 6 use mostly Prima product. But I've also thrown in a gorgeous K&Co brad, some medical guaze, Making memories product, stamps, buttons, beads etc. I decided to add another couple of pages cause I wanted to use the extra photos I had. Yay.
And of course the back cover. Love those Heidi Swapp clocks. I'm nearly out of them. Eeeek. Thank goodness I have the stamps so I'll never really run out. LOL.
I was lucky enough to be picked in the top 10, but not lucky enough to win. I can't remember who did? Eeek. Congrats though!
There was some incredible albums. Just totally divine. Really clever ideas. Some people had even taken the time to make little boxes and bags to keep their albums in. Wowee.
Trying to finish off a couple of other LO's that just need journaling/titles, and will show over the next few days.

At the beginning of March I found out I was picked to be part of the birthday celebrations on 'Creative scrappers'. They gave me a sketch to use and I did.

I used lots of gorgeous Prima papers, crystals and butterflies. Of course. Plus on the LO I used the prettiest grass/leaf chipboard from Dusty Attic. Yummo.

3 weeks ago I started a little journey. Just for myself. Actually it started a while before that, but in ernest those 3 weeks ago.
I haven't shared it with many people, but after lots of comments at AE, I thought I might share it here. After all its a huge part of my life right now.
So what is it? Am I pregnant? NO WAY!!!!! LOL. But I am finally losing my left over preggie weight.
It all started with the netball games approx 6 months ago. Then I started going to 'boot camp' 3 mornings a week (6am-7am). And then, well 3 weeks ago I started the 'transformation challenge'. Its a full on exercise/eating plan for 12 weeks to shed those unwanted kilos.
Today I found out that in 3 weeks I've shed over 8kgs. Yep, you read that right. You know those 1kg blocks of cheese? Well I've lost the equivalent of over 8 of these from my body.
To say I'm stoked is an understatement! Since having the kids weight has been a constant issue with me. But finally I'm addressing the problem. And in the process trying to stop a cycle of 'type 2 diabetes' that follows throughout my maternal family line. I don't want to go down the same path my Mother, grandmother, great grandmother etc etc have and are going down. I want my daughter to grow up knowing that its fun and good to exercise. I want to feel good in the mornings when I wake up. Full of energy and ready to face the day. And in the last 3 weeks, I've found alot of those answers.
Don't get me wrong, some days its really hard. And there is always that worry of "am I going to fail again?" But you know what, I'm in the right space, with the right experience and training behind me. And as you can see from the current stats, its working.
So wish me luck for the next 3/4 of the time. Besides loosing a heap of weight, I might even be in to win some pretty cool prizes.

This week, with winter drawing in, autumn well and truly here, but still a few nice days hanging about, your shake up is to make the most of those last nice days gracing this season.
Make a picnic, full of scrummy food and drink, grab a rug, and head on out to this beautiful world of ours. Sit down with yourself, or your family, or friends, and enjoy the time relaxing in the sun.
Take the time to get to know yourself/friends/family again. Remember the people that can't be with you and those who are no longer with you.
Close your eyes, look up to the sky and just be. For a second. Or maybe more.
Go on. Dare ya.

Yep, I decided on a name for our Sunday challenges. The things that hopefully will shake up our weeks and change our days (and maybe someone elses), so Sunday shake up's it is.
And this weeks shake up is to help someone in the street.
You know those tourists who have the map out and can't find their way, or the older person who is struggling with a big parcel/shopping/etc. Or a mother who is trying to get her buggy up some steps.
You know those little things that we often see and people used to help with and no one does anymore. Its quick, its easy and it really makes that persons day.
So shake up your day, your week and someone elses.

I love scrapbooking. Finishing a page and thinking wow, I created that. Its a great feeling.
And one that allows me to show you this....
My latest LO. I decided to throw caution to the wind and use another paper company. Eeek. LOL. And used the most gorgeous Paper from Websters Pages. Yummo!
I also used a music piece of chipboard from Dusty Attic (worked perfectly with the music on the Websters PP!), and a new die cut from Tim Holtz - birdcage. So easy to use and gorgeous.
And of course what LO of mine would be complete without some flowers? Namely Prima flowers! Ahhhhhhh.
