Jane

You just made something heart wrenching into a beautiful new step on the "life" path. Mmm, mighty cheesy I know but pretty damn special.

Nancy

You'll cope, my dear. It seems that we have a built-in coping mechanism!! I have a 40 yr old and I am a bit concerned over where he is at right now. This mother thing keeps hanging in there but really it is the bestest job ever.

Hannah

Yep, it's so hard when you start having to deal with these deep feelings. Especially when it involves other kids, either them being mean or leaving them out, or just not feeling "included". My heart breaks EVERY TIME I have to deal with something like this. I don't think it will ever get any easier. As mothers we just wish our kids didn't have to feel that kind of hurt, and we want to take it all away. Unfortunately they are life lessons that our children need to learn, and although it's heartbreaking (for them AND us) it is all part of our job. Doesn't make it easy though, huh?

Penny

I'm dreading that sort of stuff. At present it all goes over Tim's head a bit and he thinks everyone is his friend which is very sweet but a bit unrealistic.
It's part of learning resilience I guess.

harder for us as Mums than the kids I think ... glad the day ended well tho ...

Trace

Yep, couldn't have said it better than Hannah - remember Trina, what happens now gives them the skills for dealing with relationships later on in life, which of course are much more complex.

Jenny E

Agree with Heidi - harder for us than them. Except the bullying .... that stays with them but we have to teach them to deal with it as it's out there in the big wide world. And could someone teach me how to deal with those who are bullying me too please
