Hi Trina! Just catching up on your blog - boy . . . you have been busy! I just love that first sketch - what a great design and I love how you've interpreted it too! Great page!

Also . . . I've left a little something over on my blog for you!

Mrs Frizz

I looked at your sketch and thought - ummmm ... yeah right ... but wow !!! at your layout - awesome!!!

Mother Nature has given you guys a rough run up your way and once again we have missed out - not that I'm complaining ... but seeing the bad weather on the news - crikey!!!

Batten down the hatches for another few days.

Missed ya yesterday :) Travelling wasn't too bad actually- at least on this side of town. We haven't got much evidence of storm damage at all. Though the lids of my compost bins have blown over the fence into the neighbours ;)

sounds like you guys had it bad up your way!!
just rain + very very cold temps of 2degrees here!!
LOVE the rubgy LO Trina!!

someone can't spell tonight eh!!
rugby I mean!!.........lol

Hi Trina missed seeing you yesterday I travelled to Debbie B'S place friday and stayed the night sat too so not to be in that awful weather. Love your sketches and so glad you girls got to scrap together yesterday.

That certainly was some storm - although I thought the one we had last year was worse!

Glad the chooks are safe - was thinking of them when we cleared the trees from off the top of the dog kennels!!

Te Aroha was pretty bad and the damage around town has to be seen to be believed. Whole garages moved two streets over, the golf course lost 70 mature trees, the Shell station lost a whole building (we still don't know where it is, I imagine it's in pieces in people's back yards), no petrol was given out from either station for 24 hours...

An impromptu working bee at school saw a huge amount of work done to clear trees, metal and other storm damage. The churches cancelled their services and sent their congregations out to help, it was an amazing small town effort. The sort of thing that makes you proud to be a part of.

We still had no water at home on Monday morning so are playing homeless people for a while taking turns showering at various places around the community, using spa pool water to flush the toilet!

The kids at school have had unbelievable stories of things that have happened in their worlds, amazing how resilient they are as they see it all as excitement.

In comparison it was quite calm in Cambridge. Cold, windy and wet but nothing like you got. Must have been spectacular to see the waves on the bridge approaches. Wow! We have a house up at Army Bay (Whangaparaoa) and so far the neighbours have not phoned to say that it disappeared! We shall have to toddle up there this week and see if there is any damage.

I love the sketches Trina - I think I'll have to give them a try. The layout is gorgeous too, I love how worn out your little guy looks in the after photo and how excited and eager he looks in the before one.
I think I probably would've decided to stay in Akld too - I did worry about how everyone was going to stay safe travelling to Hamilton for the crop. We survived the storm, although our house didn't, our downstairs got flooded!
I love reading about your hens, I've always wanted Bantams I think they're so cute! Unfortunately it's not practical to have them where we are at the moment.
