Oh, poor little mites! I remember Ethan being terrified when he saw his first "movie", which was Finding Nemo. We'd had it on DVD for awhile, but didn't get around to watching it with him until he was almost 3. Since then he has quickly gotten used to all the scary stuff ... and Tyler is pretty much immune, he has been watching Shrek etc since he was born (the problem with having an older sibling).
I agree that you shouldn't be sad at their innocence ... I hope they keep it for as long as they can. :-)

The dark theatre and the loudness of it all is quite scary for littlies.

...and you were only posting about what makes us scared on the Fiskars Craft blog this morning Trina!

Hi Trina! I just wanted to let you know that I've left you a little surprise over on my blog!

OMG poor kids and it wasn't your fault! You have totally helped me make up my mind on a decision as I was contemplating taking David to his first movie tomorrow and we saw a little clip on tv and he laughed but not sure how he would cope with the scary bits so will re think tomorrow! The fog here yesterday was amazing even with us up on the hill we got it!

My big boy was terrified in movies for quite a while (I think it was partly the darkness). Small boy doesn't bat an eyelid. The big screen does make it all the more real I think - different from TV.

I'm glad I am not the only one who has a child who gets scared of the most mildest things. Tim didn't even like Ratatouille and I didn't think it was scary at all.
