After reading about your day at the gardens I decided to try it myself...we ended up at the Auckland Botanical Gardens in Manukau..have you been there? It is awesome..so much space for the children to run and play and loads of areas for picnics. There is a big pond with ducks and a great children's garden. And of course a lovely cafe for the mummies :-) Well worth a visit!!
