Yep, thats the title of Wendy's CJ. And I'm pleased to say its finished and I'll be posting it off to Coby later today. Just one more stop and its home to wonderful Wendy!!

I also wanted to say hi and thanks to two pretty cool people who have sent me things this week. Evana has sent me some gorgeous gorgeous paper as a rak (wee comp she was running on her blog) for getting some stuff accepted into NZ's very own scrap mag Up2Scrap. Thanks chickee. Hope that back is feeling better today and wee bubs is kicking up a storm!

And to Lucy who sent me some GG bickies. Boy did they go down well. Is anyone else addicted to them like me? Why don't they sell them in the shops year round? Or even during the time they are actually being sold? I wouldn't have got any this year if it hadn't been for Lucy and her blog! YAY!!!

He's home!!!

My wonderful man is home and I'm loving it. Its like I've got all this energy just out of nowhere. I mean today I cleaned the inside of my car (HUGE job), took the kids to the toy library, did the food shopping, a couple of loads of washing (which even went on the line, not just the dryer!) and cooked dinner (our dinner, not just the kids!). Wow. Ok, so I'm a weeny bit tired (read heaps! LOL) but it feels good. And now I'm off to do the gorgeous Wendy's CJ. This CJ has 18 gorgeous woman participating and boy are they talented! Its been going for just over a year and is nearly at its end. Its been alot of fun and I'll be sad not to do it anymore, but I'm also really looking forward to getting mine back. Not too long now! Yay! And gotta say a big thanks to the wonderful Lee who has not only done Coby's CJ today but is doing mine now. Yay. Wow, Lee that's two mentions this week! LOL! Thanks chickee. Lets see if I can get Wendys finished and uploaded later tonight......hmmmm?

Wow!!! Have you seen this? CK scrapbooker of the year

What a competition! It sounds HUGE! They are looking for the best scrapbooker of the year. It means sending in 20 - yep thats right - 20 LO's and the 10 finalists get a trip to Memory Trends where the winner will be announced.

Now I don't know if its open to the world. Will be interesting to see, but wow, its still a HUGE comp. Full details are going to be in the May 2006 issue of CK.

UPDATE: Yep, I finally got round to reading the fine print and no, we can't enter. Bummer. When is NZ/Australia going to get a look see? I imagine it'll be hottly contested and I can't wait to see who wins.

Remember that LO I was talking about?

Well here it is.

It actually all started when I read Lees Blog mentioning this challenge she had taken part in. It was a challenge to do a LO about yourself. The challenge was made by Kirsty Wiseman and you can check it out here.... Kirsty's challenge

I had recently done a LO I liked about myself, but thought I'd actually like to do another, that's when I found my old photo and came up with a new idea. Anyway, here is the finished product.... let me know what you think...

We were meant to use primas and doodling if possible. Well I didn't have any red primas (do they make them in red???) so I've used some other flowers. And I've kinda used doodling (well I cheated by using the BG wholly cow rubons). I hope thats ok?

Oh, and this photo was taken in Fiji, pre kids. Can you see the relaxed, longhaired chick I used to be? LOL.

Isn't it ironic

Last night I sat down to do some scrapping with some friends. Was really great, and I had this AWSOME idea after finding an older 'pre-kids' photo of me that I actually like.

I wanted to create a LO about 'remember when'. You see lately I've been thinking about things I 'used' to do before I had kids and how I miss those things. But how given the choice, I still wouldn't change my life.

So there I was trying to think of all these super dooper cool things that I miss so much and I couldn't think of any. ROFLMAO!!!!

Later on I actually did think of the things I wanted to say, but thinking about it this morning reiterated again how wonderful it is to be a Mum and how lucky I am. Not only do I have two gorgeous little people in my life, but another will join us soon. And really those super dooper cool things aren't so cool, and in fact if I REALLY wanted to I could still do them. I've just got different priorities right now.

So anyway, I decided I would treat myself to one of those things this afternoon and I'm off to get a pedicure (this would have nothing to do with the fact my gorgeous man has been delayed in LA and won't be home for another day so I'm consoling myself! Or was that the icecream for lunch? LOL).

To all those Mums out there who are having a bad day. Just remember you are doing a FANTASTIC job.

Moments that melt your heart

Well its a cold wet morning and as I went to get the kids up they were still lying in bed. So they get up to come out of their bedroom and both give me a cuddle. Sarah from the front and Matt from the back. We're all sitting on the ground and I'm thinking this is nice, when Matt pipes up with "Matt Loves Daddy". Things like this just melt me. Especially when up until now he's only said Matt loves Sarah. We then got into a big conversation and it turns out Matt loves Daddy and Sarah loves Mummy. LOL! They've made my day!

And even more so when you know he's missing his Dad. Thank goodness its only 2 more sleeps!

Finished

Well I did it.....I think.

For now, here is tonights LO. I loved how the boys were in silhouette in the main picture and wanted to somehow play on this and how they (Andy in particular) is 'invisible'. But I still wanted to show the togetherness of being a Dad and his son.

Knowing me I'll fiddle with it a bit tomorrow???? LOL. The scan misses out the ink around the edges and the ribbon border down one side, but I think you can get the general idea.

Procrastinating

Well I've got a LO half finished on my desk downstairs and just can't seem to get my thoughts right to finish it. LOL. So here I am.

For anyone wanting to be on a DT, there is a great newish company out there called Cherryarte who are holding a DT call. They're even local'ish' (for us kiwis).

Dress ups

It all started on Tues when Sarah wanted to wear her one and only skirt (it was in the laundry) so she got to wear her 'good' dress. Well Wed came around and now her dress AND skirt were in the laundry. Hmmm, Mummy had better start being a better Mummy and getting some washing done! So we opened up the wardrobe to see what else she might like and there was her dress up fairy princess skirt. Never been worn before. Perfect. Only once it was on, it wouldn't come off. LOL. So all day yesterday (and so far today) Miss two has been dressed up as a fairy princess. Of course Matt not wanting to outdone by his younger sister immediately requested his superman outfit (with cape! Also never been worn before) and the same story applies. As a scrapping Mum I couldn't resist the perfect photo opps! Note the 'flying' action by Superman in pic two!

One for the scrappers out there

Well here's my first LO that I'm uploading directly to my blog. Yippeee. I tell you this is easier than I thought! LOL! And here I was fighting it.

I really wanted to try using ribbon in a 'different' way to how I normally do, so I made hinges from it for the hidden journalling under the photo. The white swirls are the same as the black BG rubons which are in the top left corner of the photo. I scanned these, enlarged them then printed them and cut them out. I'm really happy with the effect.

AND THANKS SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO HAS STOPPED BY. ITS BEEN REALLY REALLY GREAT TO SEE YOU ALL POP BY AND LEAVE COMMENTS. YAY!!!!

Still trying

Well I'm still playing around with this a bit and can't seem to get the banner working! LOL. And its really funny cause I feel like I'm talking to myself, which right now I am as no one knows I've set this up! LOL. But I just had to record a couple of things that happened today...

First I got another LO accepted into Up2Scrap which is very cool. Its actually one of my current favs so looking forward to seeing it in print. 

Second is that I had some very cool things happen with the kids. Today we gave them trikes. Yep, not the borrowed ones from the toy library, but their own. I had told them it was a special present for them and they were absolutely stoked. The funny part though is how as soon as they got on them, they were off to buy Mummy and Daddy presents too. How cute is that?! Gotta love them. Check this out!

Also when Abby took them off to the beach today they happened by a skateboard park and Matt was beside himself. He loved the boys doing their tricks. Apparently he just stood there yelling out at the guys "Well done, you did it!!!" or "nevermind" when they fell off. They thought he was pretty staunch and loved the captive audience. Everyone happy!!!

Ok, off to try and fix this banner and at least tell you all I'm here! Ohhhhh, exciting!!!!

I caved

Well I finally did it. I succumed to the blog monster and here I am. LOL. I have no idea how to set things up as I've only just decided to give it a go, but give me a few days and I'm sure it'll be up and running smoothly.....kids dependant.

So, why'd I finally do it? I decided after days of trying to remember the cute things my kids were doing, I really needed somewhere I could journal them. Somewhere that wouldn't go missing and I could look back and go....ahhhhh, that was when 'x' happened.

I also wanted an outlet for my scrap LO's. Since I was introduced to scrapping by my MIL I have become hopelessly addicted. LOL. Most other scrappers I know are like this too, so its ok (well that's what I'll tell myself....).
