Ok, so it's Wednesday as I write this, but you won't see it til Sunday. Kinda spooky really. Grin. But today bootcamp was cancelled. I was bummed. I'm still in that takes a lot to get me there stage and so to have it cancelled was not good. So I decided to make the most of the hour I had and went for a walk on the beach instead. It was beautiful. And I'm glad I did it. But as I wandered along the beach, passing people and a shopping complex on the way, I noticed little bits of rubbish. I decided that I would do something, my bit if you will, to help clean up and I started picking up the pieces of rubbish I saw. At the end of my walk I had quite a little handfull (wish I'd thought to take a bag!), and I put them in the bin beside my car and felt quite pleased with myself. Even if it's only small, I'd made a little difference today.
And as I wandered along thinking about things, blogging, birthday parties, exercise, what I was going to eat. I thought....Sunday Shake up. This is what it's going to be. Grin.
So my dare to you this week is to go for a walk. BUT, there's a catch. You must take a small (or large if you want!) bag with you and collect all the little bits of paper/plastic/rubbish you see along the way and pop them in your bag to disppose of once you get home.
Not only is it good for the environment, but it's good for your health and mental wellbeing.
