Pauline set me a challenge, and now I set one for you.....

Before SENZ Pauline a wonderful lady sent me an email. Trina do you use fabric on your LO's? Are you up for a challenge?

Sure I said.

And not long later, a letter arrived with some fabric and photos of the LO's she had completed using the same fabric.

I took one look at the fabric and freaked out. It is beautiful, but quite bright! And it had chickens all over it! Funnily enough, my friend Vicky had used the same fabric for some gorgeous bags she made for the kids.

Anyway, I put it aside as I had to get through SENZ and a few other bits and pieces.

Yesterday I thought to myself.... self, I haven't done any scrapping in a while. Time to get out Pauline's fabric and give that challenge a go. And here's what I came up with...

I wanted to use a decent amount of fabric, but it was just toooo bright. So I covered it in gesso to dull it down a bit.

And there you can see one of those chooks from the fabric.

Of course it can't be a Trina LO without some flowers, so I added some along the bottom as a sort of 'garden' (yeah right?!).

I have to say I had fun with this challenge. Thank you so much Pauline!

Now my challenge to you.

I'd love to see what you can come up with, using fabric on your LO's. So you've got a month. Create a LO or two (using fabric). Pop them up on your blog then leave a link to your LO here in the comments and I'll have a gift box to send to someone drawn randomly on the 1st September.

So what's in the gift box? Weellll, I received a brand new book today (that I somehow ordered two of! Duh! And it's one I really enjoyed, so not a dud. LOL) so that's going in the box. Along with some scrapping product (of course!) And maybe even some home baking and a set of cards made by myself that you can use for your friends and family. It will be worth your while!

So come on! Bring out those photos and product and get scrapping! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Ooooh I used to love using fabric on my layouts, but really haven't for AGES! I even have fabric with chickens on it!lol...mmmm interesting...

Sorry that I missed this Trina, I have been laid very low with the flu.I love what you have done but then I knew that I would....Have to say that the chosen papers are very colourful too!!!So glad you enjoyed the challenge. Pauline
