As I was browsing through the Book Depository looking at all these books, finding them interesting, putting them in my wishlist I suddenly realised that, well, they are just peoples opinions or stories or ideas.
I mean of course I knew that already, but you don't really think about it as you're reading a book.
Of course story books are not true. We all know they aren't true. So it goes without saying it's 'made up'. But what about all the books we buy to learn more. What makes them right? Wrong? In between?
Why do we trust these people. Allowing them into our minds?
Same goes for TV. Or in fact many things that occur in our daily lives.
Hmmmmm. I think I need to question more. Not just take things as they are.....
It's such an interesting concept. What is right or wrong?
I'm curious as to your thoughts...what makes you read a book, trust the author, or do you just read cause you want to and it sounds interesting?

I read lots! and I am grateful to each and every author for spending time in their lives to make me happy, and books (well nowadays its ebooks) make me happy, Mostly non fiction, but the fiction I read are mostly biographies or about Auschwitz/Poland/POW camps, I have faith that those books are written honestly, and camera books that I might read are based on the work of photographers so their writings reflect their success with their careers :D Books are awesome!

I love books, but never automatically assume that they are more than that persons opinion or perspective. I think what I like is that they get me thinking about new ideas and forming my own opinions. And then there's cook books;)
