Got my baking on yesterday too - Chewy Chocolate Slice and Butter Cake with Struesel Topping - can't go past those choc chip cookies - they look fab - they would definitely have to go straight in the freezer at our house too!

Same recipe my Nan uses, except we add chopped up dried apricots to it too... YUMMMMM :D

Chilling them first probably makes them spread less during baking, making them fatter and more chewy(more dense).

oooohhh, yummy. My oldest started school today, she seemed so little again, a proud Mummy moment. I made Anzacs last night for her school lunch. I will have to give this choc chip recipe a go next week. Thanks Trina :)

These are super good, I am so adding them to my regular repertoire... did not have time to refrigerate them and worked out great :) Thanks Trina for sharing!

Don't know what I did wrong but mine were flat as pancakes. I put in fridge for 30 mins and we have a real COLD fridge. The mix was cold but as they cooked they just drooped into flat biscuits. When the recipe says 3/4 cup of melted butter what does that mean exactly to you? I used about 130grams butter... maybe too much I think but it seemed to be about 3/4 cup when melted. Maybe you're meant to stuff 3/4 cup of butter into a cup before melting? I should have taken home ec at school. They still taste good... lol
